Design Studio 1 + Design Graphics 1 (Prof. Arnaldo Sanchez)–manipulation of a “thick square” into a cube to create theoretical space within a 9″x9″x9″ boundary. Expansion of cube into a staircase that connects a 12′ surface to a 30′ surface. Introduction to basic use of AutoCAD and understating of formation of floor plans, axonometric drawings, and isometric drawings.
Design Studio 2 + Design Graphics 2 (Prof. Felice Grodin)–creation of a cemetery wall, including commercial space, restrooms, and space for placement of urns. Design of an artist’s patio house, with space for four artists to reside, including a communal hall. Mastery of use of AutoCAD; introduction to Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and use of programs to manipulate line drawings.
Design Studio 3 (Prof. Katherine Gutierrez)–experiential mapping of Paul Cejas Building, 3D conceptual models based on experiential map+ stitching together to create one building, theater design located on second and third floors of PCA.
Design Studio 4 (Prof. Darci Pappano)–spa research and design using the Pulido House as the structure.
History of Architecture I (Prof. Peter Clericuzio)–historical detail of the built world from early human history through the Renaissance.
History of Architecture II (Prof. Peter Clericuzio)–study of architectural works beginning in the Renaissance though the modern era.
Fundamental Digital Media for Interior Architecture–mastery of fundamental programs-Photoshop, AutoCAD, Revit-for use in Interior Architecture.
